Some time ago Peter wrote about the Cute Circuit Hug Shirts, these were no ordinary shirts but actually responded based on technology within the shirt and to signals sent between the two shirts when paired. Well the company behind the hug shirts has been busy and has come up with a product range that now includes dresses and tshirts that interact with your body’s movement. And have opened this all up to the general public to purchase via their shiny new online shop! Geek heaven!
The hugshirts as far as I’m aware never got to general release in any online store, as cute as they were. However the latest geeky clothes range consists of tshirts for men and women as well as some rather interesting dresses that react to movement. Now I will say I’ve not seen one of these for real yet! But I suspect we’ll start seeing them at tech events or on the club scene.
In terms of the geeky side of these outfits the dress runs on basic coin cell batteries (included), and reacts to your movement. Cut Circuit use a combination of smart textiles and micro electronics in the creation of many of their designs. The couple behind the designs and geeky creations can be found being interviewed here by Grazia magazine and those are the tshirts in question being shown off!
