  • The 12th Girl Geek Dinner went well and there were all sorts of very lively debates about women, technology and marketing. The evening started off with a rather ironic video that some of you may have seen online at some point… It was a very old short sketch about how women used to be perceived. (and some would say still are) This started off a lively debate.

The debate was followed by a presentation of the findings of the Saatchi and Saatchi research into Women, Technology and Marketing after which we broke off into small groups of around 5 – 6 people to discuss what we thought of their research and what we considered to be important aspects to women, technology and marketing.

Due to the NDA that is in place I can’t discuss at this time what the content of the talks was but I can put up these pictures of the event and the venue. The room that Saatchi & Saatchi has was a really great space. The images on the ceiling were fun and the presentation area was very funky. It was quite obviously designed for interactivity with a tablet PC attached to all the AV equipment.

The food and drinks provided were good quality and added to the general feel of the event.

I found that the event was a great way to hear about what these women really wanted in terms of the Girl Geek Dinners events. It’s been an interesting and eye opening experience. I’m now looking forward to the event at Google tomorrow!
