Tuesday evening we had the 13th London Girl Geek Dinner and some may say that I was tempting fate by actually labeling the event as event no 13! Fortunately for me I’m not superstitious otherwise I might have been worried about this event being tormented by chaos and issues. Luckily there were no big issues before, during or after this event. The biggest blunder was the camera not working for one of the mobile demo’s that the Google girls did. It was a shame because they were all set to do a really cool demo as well.
We had three speakers at this event, firstly Shivaun Raff spoke on the future of search and created some interesting debates after the talks on how search will change in the next five years. She was then followed by Li-Wei Lee and Danielle Drew who spoke about the development process, issues and solutions sorrounding the Google Checkout Mobile application.
The talks for me were all really interesting and the speakers were all fantastic! I really enjoyed the evening and the video below shows what happened!
