The second girl geek dinner occurred on Tuesday evening, and big bad and getting distracted by Barcelona and exploring the city I’ve not had a chance until now to talk about it! Anyway, here goes:

The event started well with 97 signed up to it and 76 people turned up. We had 6 speakers on the panel and they were as follows:Sally Storey
Kimberley L. Tripp
Olga Londer
Eileen Brown
Karen Young
Christine Betts

I asked them a whole series of questions from how they got to where they are today to where they see the role of mentor and mentee all the way through to who inspires them. Sally’s response of her puppy was a very cute response to who inspires her. (and now you are wondering why… well it’s because life is so simple as a puppy eat, sleep, walk – wouldn’t life be so simple if it was like that.)

The event was a lot of fun to host and it looks like I have found someone else to keep the Barcelona Girl Geek Dinners going after I have gone back to the UK!!! I am so excited that people are liking the concept! I hope the excitement continues around the world!
