The Ada Lovelace film, created as part of the Information Pioneers campaign, is now available to view exclusively through the Financial Mail Women’s Forum.

The film is the first of the five to be shown, with the remaining films staying under wraps until a special preview screening event tonight.  From tomorrow (27th May), all films will be available to watch via the Information Pioneers website, where you can share the films and vote for who you think is the greatest Information Pioneer!

Despite the films not yet airing, users have been coming to site to vote for their favourite Pioneers already.  Hollywood actress and inventor of ‘frequency hopping’ Hedy Lamarr is currently storming in front with over 50% of the votes – which is great news for women in tech.  Ada Lovelace, considered to be the first computer programmer, is currently in third behind Alan Turing.

Take a look at Ada’s story now and go to http://pioneers.bcs.org to vote for her.   You can also share this film by copying the embed code into your own site or blog – Let’s make sure the pioneering women in this campaign come out on top!
