Job Summary

This position is responsible for analyzing and driving the social media infrastructure and strategy across the company. Key areas of focus include tracking/reporting our global social media presence, gathering and disseminating internal and external social media best practices and tools to various stakeholders, managing at least one key social media presence (e.g., Thinkstock), and identifying/implementing ideas which enhance the company’s overall social media strategy and how it complements/impacts other marketing campaigns.

Job Responsibilities

  • Track and report all social media profiles and social mentions and sentiment; ownership of any corporate level social media tracking/reporting vendors or tools
  • Share best practices a and review social media metrics with internal stakeholders and partners. Provide tools training when necessary.
  • Proactively work with individual social media profile owners and marketing teams on social media practices being used by other internal groups.
  • Stay abreast of competitor social media practices as well as broader social media trends.
  • Manage at least one key social media presence (e.g., Thinkstock) and understand the tactics we should employ, attain the set goals, track and maintain presence and integrate social media into other plans for the product as appropriate.
  • Clearly articulate how the company’s various social media presences/tactics fit together and make recommendations for change if necessary to maximize the company’s presence and impact.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong relevant experience in this field
  • Extensive experience and passion for the internet and social media
  • Knowledgeable about digital media and imagery/footage content
  • Strong quantitative analytical skills, especially campaign analysis and online analytics
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office products
  • Familiarity with social media tools and/or online analytical tools like Omniture and Google Analytics
  • Ability to think critically from a strategic perspective; and also creatively from an integrated marketing perspective
  • Self-starter, proactive individual
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence across groups effectively

Education and Certifications

  • University degree
