OK so I’m first going to start with the apology… What for you might be asking…Well for letting Barry on the loose with Girly Geekdom. He’s one of the well known male faces of the Girl Geek Dinner events here in London (Honourary Girl Geek so to speak). How to describe Barry…. hmmm… Now that’s a difficult one (because I don’t want to make the boy cry!). He’s quite different shall we say… Always a cause of some form of chaos, controversy and mayhem. You have been forewarned! However he is also geeky, technical, has his own views on geeky and girly things as well as having a fetish for womens shoes! So he should fit right in here!

My second introduction is another one of our well known Girl Geeks, Improbulous (or Imp for short). She’s one of our long term girl geek attendees from the London events. She’s very into her gadgets, tech toys and geeky events. I’m sure she will provide hours of interesting content! She always talks about so many interesting things she’s seen whenever I get the opportunity to catch up with her. I’m sure she will bring some of her magic gadgetry over here!

And finally… You must be wondering what the voting is all about…. well Developer, Developer Developer Day 6 has moved on to it’s second loop… so it’s time to vote for the sessions that you think you would be most interested in. Once you’ve voted and the deadline is over, then the organisers will put together room schedules based on the number of votes for each of the top sessions. Those with the most votes get the bigger rooms. So, off you go now, vote for your sessions and I’ll let you know when sign up for the event opens up! Be warned though… some of the DDD sessions are being proposed by Barry! (Oh and you may find me on the panel discussion if it gets enough votes… it’s the “Questions and Answer time on Recruitment”… I’ll be there from the geeky and girly perspective, as a girl geek in the tech industry.)

I’m probably not going to be putting up any weekend reading this weekend but feel free to comment on any of the content and cause some discussion and chaos of your own! (oh and do send over anything you think we might be interested in hearing about… my e-mail address is in the top corner of the blog!)
