Now you may think that the title of this post is a joke, but indeed it’s not. An American author has taken girl geek culture, wrapped it up in a book and added a little bit of fiction to spice up the story. I’ve not yet read it but it looks like an interesting and amusing read.

I would be interested to hear real life stories about being a girl geek. What is it that you find geeky, what bizarre things have happened to you as a female in technology and how did you cope with them? What are the great things that you like about being a girl geek? What do you see as the benefits of being a girl geek? (if indeed you are female and geeky…)

On the flip side of things, I know that there are a few guy geeks who read this blog, what is it that makes you curious about girl geeks? Why do you think they are so rare? What do you think puts females off of the tech industry and how do you think that men could help make things better?
